We received a Toyota Prius on the tow truck. The fault was that the car had no power.
When we tried to drive it the engine revved up but the car didn't move. It happened after
the customer disconnected the 12v battery while the engine was running.
At the previous garage it was determined that the Engine control unit and High Voltage
Battery control unit were damaged and needed to be replaced. Both control units total up
to a whopping $5320 and have to come from Japan. The customer needed our expertise
to confirm the fault and avoid wasting $$$.
